ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Building Engineer/Senior Building Engineer you will perform general preventative and reactive maintenance and repairs of all equipment and building related equipment. Applies several trade skills such as mechanical, plumbing, electrical, commercial lighting, HVAC, and refrigeration.
- Focus on Critical environment and/or Clean Room
- Emphasis on HVAC, electrical, boilers and chillers
- Data Center environment
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Ensures the efficient and safe maintenance of client location(s).
- Assists with troubleshooting and repairs of buildings and installed systems to include: plumbing systems, kitchen equipment, roofs, drains, shop, and HVAC.
- Operates, maintains, monitors, and performs preventive and predictive maintenance on building equipment, which may include: mechanical/HVAC-R/plumbing systems, electrical/cabling, fire detection and suppression, life safety, lighting, temperature control systems, building management systems, and digital systems.
- Maintains lighting systems throughout the facility, cleaning fixtures and replacing bulbs and lamps.
- Performs niche and sophisticated tasks such as carpentry, electrical, painting, roofing, HVAC, welding, furniture assembly/relocation and locksmith tasks.
- Responds quickly to emergency situations, summoning additional assistance as needed.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Minimum of four (4) years of related experience and/or training (senior level - 8+ years)
- Commercial Engineering experience is required
- EPA/CFC required
- Data Center experience is a plus.
- In depth knowledge and understanding of CMMS systems (demonstrated knowledge of MS Office and MS Project highly desirable).
- Understanding of maintenance processes and accurate use of the work order system.
OTHER SKILLS and/or ABILITIES
Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
Understanding of existing procedures and standards to solve slightly complex problems.
Ability to analyze possible solutions using technical experience to apply appropriate judgment and precedents.
Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
