The Team You'll Work With

You will be joining the Business Development Team that manages Carta's top partnerships on the Corporations team, which include law firms, service providers, accelerators, and VCs. Our Business Development Team is a key part of the broader Corporations business unit at Carta.

As Business Development Manager, Accelerators & VC, you will represent Carta in-market and oversee the company's efforts to grow its network, deepen existing relationships, and develop additional business opportunities with Carta's key accelerator and VC partners. The Business Development Team works cross-functionally to drive ecosystem partnerships to accelerate our growing business.

Ideal candidates will be energized by building and managing impactful external relationships, driving cross-functional collaboration, digging into data, devising strategy, finding scalable and repeatable best practices, and creating more owners across a dynamic industry.

The Problems You'll Solve

  • Manage and develop partner-level relationships with top venture capital firms, startup accelerator programs, and other external partners in the startup ecosystem
  • Represent Carta with VC & Accelerator partners, and be an active voice for Carta's product suite in the startup ecosystem
  • Develop strategies to drive adoption of Carta's products within investment portfolios of partners
  • Perform outreach and qualify potential new business within partner portfolios
  • Identify opportunities for engagements and events for founders, and execute in collaboration with partners and internal teams
  • Execute partner marketing initiatives and the business development plan while working with key internal stakeholders (e.g. sales, marketing, implementations, etc.).
  • Analyze startup portfolio data and key metrics and provide insights to internal and external stakeholders
  • Prospect, onboard and educate new VC & Accelerator partners

Qualifications

  • Significant knowledge of the tech & venture ecosystem
  • Relevant network of contacts within the community, specifically encompassing the top global accelerators and venture capital firms
  • Strong communication, presentation, and networking skills, with experience leading cross-functional meetings with senior leadership and decision makers
  • Deep understanding of SaaS business models
  • 3-6 years of Business Development, Partnerships, Channel Sales, Account Management or other relevant GTM experience
  • Based in San Francisco

Nice-to-Have

  • Proficiency in Salesforce and other reporting and data analysis tools
  • Prior experience building and managing relationships with high-profile ecosystem partners at accelerators, venture capital firms, or other technology companies
  • Understanding of equity management, liquidity, fund administration, or valuation services.

Salary

Carta's compensation package includes a market competitive salary, equity for all full time roles, exceptional benefits, and, for applicable roles, commissions plans. Our minimum cash compensation (salary + commission if applicable) range for this role is:

$180,000 OTE in SF

Final offers may vary from the amount listed based on geography, candidate experience and expertise, and other factors.
