Essential Duties & Responsibilities (including, but not limited to):
- Writing high quality production-ready code, paired with automated tests
- Working across the Websites Team and owning/executing features with large business impact and reach
- Designing solutions to accomplish business goals for a particular area of the application
- Advocating for Best Practices and contributing to technical process improvements
- Participating and providing substantive feedback during code reviews; engaging and guiding junior team members in mentoring relationships
- Producing well organized user guides and documentation
- Participating in incident response and resolution
- Participating in on-call rotations
Required Skills & Experience:
- Highly proficient and professional experience with PHP
- Highly proficient and professional experience with a variety of languages and frameworks.
- Highly Proficient and professional experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Python
- Highly proficient and professional experience with SQL databases (MySQL, Postgres) and ORMs
- Ability to solve/triage complex issues across components of a distributed system
- Proficient with a comprehensive understanding of secure software development practices
- Highly proficient and professional DevOps experience maintaining and/or building a build processes and a CI/CD pipeline
- Proficient and professional experience with test automation.
- Highly proficient producing comprehensive and well organized documentation, diagrams, and user guides
- Proficient with Agile methodologies and software development processes
Highly Desired:
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience
- Formal degree or equivalent experience in computer science or related field
- Experience with distributed job queue/messaging systems
- Experience leading projects or functioning as a team lead
- Proficiency in Selenium
In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share the base salary range for this position which is not inclusive of bonuses, benefits or other forms of compensation that the position may be eligible for. If you are hired at Cars Commerce, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as skills and/or experience.
