Role Overview

CarGurus is looking for a results-driven Sales Development Representative, Outbound to assist in growing the advertising dealer base on our site and to work with our Account Executives to improve our market share of subscribed listing dealers. The successful candidate will have an entrepreneurial attitude, the ability to multi-task in a rapidly changing working environment, strong communication skills, and be proficient at regularly attaining quotas by adhering to a systematic and repeatable lead development process.

CarGurus' growing customer base will have various concerns and questions about CarGurus, so candidates will need to employ routine customer service skills, be able to listen and respond to dealers, and resolve all issues in a timely manner. In this role, you must be comfortable conveying issues to the larger CarGurus organization. As such, candidates must bring strong analytical thinking, presentation, and problem-solving skills.

What You'll Do:

  • Generate new leads through outbound calls, emails, and Outreach
  • Qualify leads by understanding their needs, pain points, and business challenges
  • Articulate CarGurus values proposition to dealers, handle requests and escalate when needed
  • Display strong communication skills, and ability to multi-task in a rapidly changing environment
  • Demonstrate persistence, tenacity, ability to overcome obstacles and handle objections
  • Display strong prioritisation, organisation and time management skills
  • Develop and consistently meet or exceed all assigned quotas and key performance metrics
  • Log all sales activity completely and accurately in Salesforce

Who You Are:

  • 1-2 years of experience in a sales or lead generation role.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and resilient.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and lead generation tools is a plus.
