Job Purpose and Impact
The Senior Transportation Professional will focus on daily bulk truck transportation operations as well as continuous improvement for the bulk truck execution team. In this role, you will ensure that loads are tendered,accepted and delivered to their final destinations on time while acting as a first point of escalation for select bulk truck carrier performance issues and customer concerns. You will co-ordinate with cross functional team members to identify opportunities and lead execution of small projects to streamline work, improve carrier performance and drive financial savings.

In this role you will evaluate complex and varied bulk transportation operations, data and carriers to identify the most effective transportation patterns for products. In this role, you will conduct data management, reporting and analysis, shipping, client interaction, business partnership and people, resource, budget and project management.
Key Accountabilities
- Perform daily bulk truck operations activities consisting of load coverage, issue resolution, and data entry updates using spreadsheets and databases based on sales orders and contracts. Analyze data, collect and translate implications, and present findings to senior team members.
- Analyze and project transportation costs, and lead cost reduction and cost avoidance projects.
- Address escalations from business stakeholders regarding operational challenges.
- Plan, control and implement processes related to materials and finished goods movement.
- Evaluate and foster strong relationships with external transport providers.
- Use significant knowledge of the transportation and logistics industry and data & analytics to make recommendations to maintain good customer relations and identify and lead continuous improvement initiatives with various stakeholders.
- Independently handle complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff.

Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- Minimum of four years of related work experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must thrive in a fast-paced work environment
- Ability to work on call, and occasional nights/weekend support

Compensation Information
Compensation:
The expected salary for this position is $75,000-90,000. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific location, certifications, education, and level of experience. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. This position is eligible for a discretionary incentive award. The incentive award amount is dependent upon company performance and your personal performance.
