Job Purpose and Impact
The RN/LPN will perform occupational health care activities. In this role, you will provide health and wellness training and education, employee health services, and compliance. Qualified candidates must be licensed to practice nursing in Virginia/compact state. This position will primarily support our protein processing facility in Dayton, VA, but may also support local satellite locations in Harrisonburg and Mount Crawford, VA.
Key Accountabilities
- Use technical knowledge and training, and assist in designing and executing employee health and wellness programs
- Conduct safety and ergonomic training and administer drug and alcohol programs
- Treat, evaluate, and assess employee illness or injury and determine medical direction
- Develop, formulate, and implement plans of care based on stand order and medical directives
- Help determine what employees can do under restrictive duty, when they can return to work, and when to refer them to an outside medical provider
- Support record keeping in accordance with relevant regulations
- Handle basic issues and problems under direct supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff
- Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Right to work in the U.S. that is not based solely on possession of a student visa or a visa sponsored by a third-party employer
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- LPN licensed in Virginia/compact state plus 2 years of experience in occupational health, ER, urgent care, or similar, OR RN licensed in Virginia/compact state
Preferred Qualifications
- Bilingual in English/any language (Spanish, Khurdish, or Arabic preferred)
- Experience working in an occupational health environment
