Job Purpose and Impact
The position will support occupational health care activities. In this role, you will provide health and wellness training and education, employee health services, and compliance. Qualified candidates must be licensed to practice nursing in Missouri/compact state.
This position will support our protein processing facility in California, MO and may also support local live agriculture satellite locations across Moniteau County. To support these satellite locations, mileage reimbursement will be provided as appropriate or a shared company vehicle may be available for occasional use.
Key Accountabilities
- Use technical knowledge and training and assist in designing and executing employee health and wellness programs
- Conduct safety and ergonomic training and administer compliance programs which include drug and alcohol, first aid, hearing conservation, and respiratory screening among others
- Treat, evaluate, and assess employee illness or injury and determine medical direction
- Develop, formulate, and implement plans of care based on stand order and medical directives
- Help determine what employees can do under restrictive duty, when they can return to work, and when to refer them to an outside medical provider
- Support record keeping in accordance with relevant regulations, including OSHA requirements
- Support the worker's compensation claims process through interacting and following up with employees, appointment scheduling, and communicating and coordinating with external providers
- Handle basic issues and problems under direct supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff
- Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Right to work in the U.S. that is not based solely on possession of a student visa or a visa sponsored by a third-party employer
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- LPN licensed in Missouri/compact state plus 2 years of experience in occupational health, ER, urgent care, or similar, OR RN licensed in Missouri/compact state
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in an occupational health environment
- Bilingual in English/Spanish
