Job Purpose and Impact

The Legal Operations Innovation Consultant will play a critical role in enhancing the operations of the law team and strengthening partnerships between legal operations and internal stakeholders. In this role, you will work across law's distinct groups to drive transformation initiatives and critical programs, including the sequencing and coordination of key initiatives and prioritizing strategic projects. As a recognized subject matter expert in the domain, you will foster and lead change, process mapping, and user adoption strategies with technology implementations.

Key Accountabilities

  • Enable execution of legal operations objectives by driving internal processes around strategy, planning and prioritization.
  • Evaluate and improve existing processes to identify inefficiencies, manual tasks, bottlenecks, and partner with stakeholders to surface issues and develop solutions.
  • Lead the adoption and effective use of law's technology in close collaboration with digital technology and global teams to identify efficiency opportunities, process improvements, best practices, and partner with product owners and other cross functional teams to ensure this adoption.
  • Promote the understanding and use of artificial intelligence (AI) within the department by partnering with related center of expertise and hub to develop law specific training and learning opportunities.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and coordinate benchmarking to ensure alignment with standard methodologies in legal operations.
  • Handle and report on key performance indicators for legal operations, ensuring alignment with digital technology on shared metrics and goals.
  • Lead the development and implementation of the content management strategy, consolidating data sources and establishing guidance on key law processes.
  • Advise team on best practices for training development, process mapping, and effective change management strategies to ensure standardization and user adoption.
  • Provide expert thought leadership in your field and work with limited direction, using additional research and interpretation to identify issues or problems. You may provide direction to supporting team members and be a strategic contributor.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum requirement of 6 years of relevant work experience. Typically reflects 10 years or more of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in legal operations in a global organization.
  • Experience with developing use cases for AI within the legal industry.
  • Experience with Legal Matter Management Systems.
  • Familiarity with Power Apps and Power Automate solutions for legal teams.
  • Change management certification.
