Responsibilities:

  • Work with product owners to understand desired application capabilities and testing scenarios
  • Work within and across Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement and support technical solutions across a full-stack of development tools and technologies
  • Lead the craftsmanship, availability, resilience and scalability of your solutions
  • Bring a passion to stay on top of tech trends, experiment with and learn new technologies, participate in internal & external technology communities, and mentor other members of the engineering community
  • Encourage innovation, implementation of cutting-edge technologies, inclusion, outside-of-the-box thinking, teamwork, self-organization and diversity

About You:

  • You have a desire to work in a very fast moving, forward leaning, and modern computing environment

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent certification
  • At least 4 years of experience in Cloud Native technologies (Amazon Web Services)
  • At least 3 years of experience with security engineering
  • At least 3 years of experience with architecture, networking, and cloud infrastructure
  • At least 2 years of experience supporting SaaS platforms
  • At least 2 years of experience with containers runtimes (Docker, Kubernetes, Fargate)
  • Experience utilizing Agile methodologies

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 6+ years of experience with architecture, networking, and cloud infrastructure
  • 2+ years of experience in public cloud security and multi-cloud environments
  • 2+ years of experience with Python
  • Experience applying security concepts to network architectures
  • Experience with Threat Modeling
  • Familiarity with Penetration Testing or Offensive and Defensive Security techniques
  • Experience with Vulnerability Management practices in multi-cloud environments
  • Experience with integrating SaaS products into an Enterprise Environment
  • Experience in a regulated environment
  • Familiarity with AWS network products/technologies (VPC, load balancing, Direct Connect, Transit Gateway, NACLs, and Security Groups)
  • Demonstrated understanding of core networking concepts (IPv4, IPv6, TCP/UDP, IP Routing, and IP Subnetting)
  • Experience assessing impact, risk, and remediation of vulnerabilities in 3rd-party vendors
  • One of the following certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

New York City (Hybrid On-Site): $165,100 - $188,500 for Prin Assoc, Cyber Technical

Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter.

This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
