Senior Mobile Platform Engineer

As a Capital One Platform Engineer, you'll work on everything from iOS, Android, AWS, and G Suite administration. You'll bring great experience in emerging and traditional technologies such as: Omnissa, Google Workspace/G Suite, Google Admin, Ping, Entrust, Python, iOS, Android, and AWS/Cloud Infrastructure to name a few.

General Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop mobile device policies, create test scripts, beta testing, and regression testing, conduct reviews to make sure managed devices are effectively tuned for platform performance, and assess the overall quality of delivered components.
  • Secure devices with industry standards and enable data loss prevention for devices and applications
  • Management of vendor and internal 3rd level support tickets, escalations, engineering consultant for lines of business
  • Hands on server management in AWS, build, rebuild, upgrade, decommission
  • Continuously improve engineering practices
  • Directly and independently work with business partners and other tech teams.
  • Bring a passion to stay on top of tech trends, experiment with and learn new technologies, participate in internal & external technology communities.
  • Encourage innovation, implementation of cutting-edge technologies, inclusion, outside-of-the-box thinking, teamwork and self-management.
  • Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills, which are necessary due to the dynamic nature of collaboration with customers, vendors, and other engineering teams.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent certification
  • At least 2 year of experience with managing iOS/Android mobile devices in an enterprise environment
  • At least 2 year of experience managing and supporting the full life-cycle of IT development projects
  • At least 1 year experience in performing operations within cloud computing consoles (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 3+ years of experience with Enterprise Mobility Management, Workspace One UEM/AirWatch/Omnissa, or other industry leading Mobile Device Management tools
  • 3+ years of experience managing Apple, Android, Windows, Chrome devices
  • 2+ years of experience with Python scripting, 2nd+ level support, and UX documentation
  • 1+ years of experience with G Suite
  • 1+ years of experience with Rest API
  • 1+ years of experience with infrastructure as code (Ansible, Terraform, Cloudformation)
