Senior Manager-Product Management

This role is for the Emerging Payments - External Integrations team, within the Emerging Payments line of business at Capital One. The External Integrations team is responsible for our third party products and experiences. This includes products such as Paze, Digital Wallets, and Virtual Card integrations at the moment of check out. Our team manages the relationships with our key third party partners across Digital Wallets and Networks. Our goal is to ensure that regardless of how a customer wants to pay, our cards are the most secure and convenient to do it.

As a Senior Manager, Product Management, you will lead a team that is responsible for our Network Partnerships, network token core services, and Emerging Payments Agent and Fraud experiences. You will lead a team of two with prospects of expansion.

In this role you will:

  • Set a vision for our network token infrastructure modernization and our overall agent experiences.
  • You will also work closely across our Fraud and Empath partners, defining a vision for how we enable agents to become advocates for our products.
  • You will partner closely with our network partners to understand the future of network tokenization and how that will impact our business in the future.

In this role, you'll be expected to demonstrate proficiency in four key areas

  • You will align product strategy around clear customer-backed themes and patterns to drive alignment between stakeholders
  • You will lead a team in identifying and prioritizing roadmap founded in customer needs; recognizes when customer needs are not being met and advocates for evolving approach
  • You will influence cross-organizational stakeholders to align on the right customer-focused solutions

Business Focused

  • You will build product strategies and roadmaps for your areas independently, balancing priorities based on impact and risk
  • You will understand and proactively address the cascading impacts of the roadmap inside and outside the organization, including broader business and enterprise context, financial impacts, and all facets of risk management
  • You will identify opportunities to innovate for new sources of business value that can be supported by a platform, feature or capability

Technology Driven

  • Inspires teams to deeply understand technology opportunities to increase velocity of new features and capabilities
  • Fosters active partnership with architecture to drive target state; challenges existing principles to drive better macro outcomes
  • Leads horizontally across the value chain to ensure effective monitoring and controls are in place

Transformational Leadership

  • Defines an iterative vision backed product agenda that solves diverse customer problems and delivers business outcomes
  • Works in multiple problem spaces and can appropriately prioritize problems / build a roadmap to maximize impact
  • Articulates how products will interact with the larger product portfolio and business initiatives
  • Leads with future focus and pushes back on narrow perspectives such as "it's always been done that way"

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or military experience
  • At least 5 years of product management experience or at least1 years of experience in product design, agile delivery, business analysis, data science, or software engineering

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering
  • 1+ years of experience with Payments Industry or Network Tokenization
  • 7+ years of experience in Agile product management

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

New York City (Hybrid On-Site): $199,100 - $227,200 for Sr. Mgr, Product Management

Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter.

This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
