Senior Manager, Risk Analyst, Workday ERP Program (Hybrid)

This Senior Risk Manager role performs a key first line of defense risk management role, as well as key project management support, for our multi-year Workday Finance Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Platform Integration effort, the primary core system modification ("ERP Core Mod") for Finance. This role will help ensure Finance processes and related enterprise processes maintain their "well managed" state as they undergo this significant change. Our ERP Core Mod will also help set new risk management standards for Finance, including the initial implementation of an integrated process view, increased control automation, and enhanced process documentation. This Senior Manager will manage a team of risk advisors and process engineers, as well indirectly lead associates across Finance and the ERP program to implement our enhanced risk management infrastructure. This position requires interacting with a variety of stakeholders and subject matter experts across Finance and Capital One; and at times, may support the broader FRM team via related governance activities and specialty projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute an integrated risk management strategy and roadmap for Finance ERP consumer application modernization programs
  • Develop, manage, and lead a team of process engineers and risk advisors (associate and non-associate labor) in support of ERP, Bank, and Card modernization programs
  • Provide executive level program reporting to Finance and FRM leadership and provide support on board level reporting for ERP program deliverables
  • Partner with Finance Product Data Solutions, data stewards, and Finance teams to create a risk and control framework for enterprise resource planning and consumer applications to adopt and promote data risk management, compliance, regulatory requirements and process management principles that will guide and provide oversight of data and operational processes
  • Provide executive level program reporting to Finance and FRM leadership and provide support on board level reporting for ERP program deliverables
  • Guide and orchestrate cross functional teams to develop the risk management framework for data requirements, and critical business needs and dependencies to inform a reimagined finance core data publishing product agenda

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or military experience
  • At least 5 years of leading projects
  • At least 2 years of experience in improving processes
  • At least 2 years of experience explaining technical subject matter to non-technical audiences, and leading discussions across functions to ensure clarity around business direction and strategy

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 4+ years or experience in implementing Finance- or HR-related technology programs or projects
  • 4+ years of experience in a field related to risk management (e.g., compliance, legal, audit, business risk office, operations risk management, credit risk management, or finance)
  • 3+ years experience in banking-related finance or accounting
  • 3+ years of experience in process management, improvement, or design
  • Project management, process engineering, or other Risk Management certifications (PMP, BPM, CRCM, APRM, Six Sigma/LEAN, etc.)

This role is hybrid meaning associates typically spend about half their time (2-3 days per week) in-person at one of our offices listed on this job posting. Monday and Fridays are enterprise- wide virtual work days. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday are in-person days for associates to spend time together working in our beautifully-designed team areas.
