In partnership with your team, you will effectively manage candidates through the recruiting and selection process, provide consulting and guidance to our Talent Acquisition teams and participate in projects that enhance the recruiting experience.

As a Talent Acquisition Sr Manager, you will create strong internal business partner relationships to meet our hiring goals and be their trusted partner for all things talent acquisition. You will have a passion for keeping abreast of trends and innovative recruiting techniques in order to remain competitive and deliver a world-class experience to our partners and candidates. You will care deeply about people and have a passion for developing team members and ensuring their success. In this role, you and your team (in conjunction with the broader recruiting team) will design and implement recruiting strategies to attract top talent for critical growth businesses at Capital One.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of experienced, high performing recruiters who support our Premium Products and Shopping businesses.
  • Create a culture of inspiration, empowerment and inclusion. Invest in and elevate your team to greatness
  • Partner with hiring managers, business leaders, and key stakeholders to understand and deliver unique talent needs while keeping all parties apprised along the journey. Become a deep subject matter expert within your business partner group
  • Develop and execute sourcing plans to identify and recruit top talent, owning the candidate development process from identification and engagement to offer extension and closing
  • Leverage data and metrics to conduct analysis on talent markets and our delivery to better support our teams, business partners, and candidates
  • Work closely with key stakeholders and hiring managers to navigate rapidly changing business environments, tailoring the recruiting approach in tandem
  • Think progressively and implement creative bold ideas to test and learn
  • Jump in to problem solve and navigate ambiguous and complex situations autonomously, wile weighing the various risks and potential implications
  • Implement both immediate and long term strategic recruiting initiatives, anticipating and planning for potential roadblocks

Basic Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of experience in recruiting, human resources, or client consulting OR a combination of the three
  • At least 4 years of experience in Client Management
  • At least 2 years of people management experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional Human Resources (PHR) certification or Senior Professional Human Resources (SPHR) certification
  • 7+ years of experience in HR strategy or 7+ years of experience in Talent Acquisition or a combination
  • 7+ years of experience in Client Management
  • 5+ years of experience in People Management
  • 2+ years of experience with data analytics and reporting tools (i.e. excel, Tableau)
  • 3+ years experience in strategic development
