What We Do:

As part of the Enterprise Curriculum & Experiences team, you will collaborate closely with Capital One U colleagues and stakeholders to drive strategy for our onboarding and career development programs. You will also lead and conduct learning needs analysis, create human-centered and scalable design strategies, deliver and manage exceptional learning experiences, and measure and iterate on these experiences over time. You will play a critical role in making sure our learning experiences are delivered with user and business objectives in mind.

Who We're Looking For:

Do you have a proven track record of success in designing and implementing effective onboarding programs that accelerate new hire productivity and engagement? Are you skilled and passionate about creating and managing career development initiatives that empower employees to grow and advance within the company? Ideally, this person would:

  • Lead the strategy to build, scale, and deliver a comprehensive 6+ month onboarding experience for new associates inclusive of DIB, corporate culture, soft skills, competency learning and critical, business identified skill development opportunities.
  • Lead the strategy to build, scale, and deliver a career development experience to enable associates to explore new career paths, self identify skill and experience gaps and develop over time to build our bench of internal talent for high-demand roles.
  • Lead and manage (both directly and indirectly) a team of learning professionals who consult, design, develop, curate, and deliver learning solutions focused on the joining experience and career development.
  • Leverage project management skills to deliver an optimized and flawless learner experience including change management strategies, effective communications, and coordination with learner, communications, and support teams.
  • Stay current with external trends, best practices, and innovations and infuse these into the work products and consulting offered to clients.
  • Leverage experience and background in instructional design, adult learning, and leadership theory to design, develop and deploy innovative, digital first and blended learning experiences.
  • Design and implement a measurement and evaluation strategy to determine program effectiveness; share results and partner with leaders to drive improvements to enhance value, sustainability, and learner impact.
  • Communicate program results and impact leveraging data, and engage effectively with executive partners and other stakeholders, as needed.
  • Influence across multiple cross-functional teams, client organizations, and groups without direct authority, collaborate with learning peers to leverage existing products and experiences, and identify solutions that can achieve broader shared results.
  • Travel as needed (not to exceed 20%) to other company locations for meeting and delivery of learning experiences

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent certification
  • At least 5 years of experience in client consulting or performance consulting or a combination of both
  • At least 5 years of experience leading projects or working in Agile teams, or a combination of both
  • At least 3 years of experience in people leadership with 3 or more direct reports

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years of experience in learning design and development
  • 5+ years of experience with supplier/vendor relationship management
  • 5+ years of experience managing budgets
  • 5+ years of experience working in the learning and development industry
  • Experience in the financial services industry
