Overview:

We are looking for a dynamic associate to be the Finance lead for our Premium business. The Premium business is focused on creating products and experiences that enable us to win at the top of the Credit Card market. These businesses are primarily in the early stages of their lifecycle, which will enable this leader to (a) help shape the future business strategy (b) develop the right infrastructure, operating rhythms to track business performance against our longer term objectives. This leader will also be accountable for Domestic Card's Rewards Liability ($7B+).

This leader will have a team of at least 7 financial analysts, ranging in level from junior analysts through managers. This individual will work directly with the Premium (Business) Leadership Team, the Card Finance Leadership Team, and key senior leaders across Finance disciplines including Accounting, Balance Sheet & Capital Planning, Corporate Development and Corporate Planning.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or military experience
  • At least 12 years of experience in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
  • At least 6 years of experience managing a Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) function
  • At least 5 years of people management experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics
  • Master's Degree in Business Administration (MBA) or Master's Degree in Finance
  • Experience working in or partnering with the Card business
  • 14+ years of experience in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
  • 10+ years of experience managing a Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) function
  • 10+ years of people management experience including both direct & indirect reports
  • Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) license or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

McLean, VA: $234,000 - $267,100 for Sr. Director, Financial Mgt

Richmond, VA: $212,800 - $242,800 for Sr. Director, Financial Mgt

Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter.

This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
