The Capital One Brand team is seeking a seasoned Product Marketer to lead go-to-market strategies for the Software line of business and our portfolio of Digital Payment products.

The Senior Director of Brand Marketing will be a champion for our customers and shape the product messaging, GTM launches and field tactics that resonate with the market. You will help craft the narrative for how our products deliver value to customers, and engage cross-functional teams to drive overall awareness, pipeline, and revenue across our customer base and new prospects.

  • Cross-functional Leadership: Manage a team of Marketing, Brand and Campaign marketers to achieve joint line of business and brand objectives; working closely with multiple partners and stakeholders
  • Messaging & Positioning: Translate the product vision into customer facing value props for each segment; shape product positioning and messaging so that it resonates with customers and highlights our differentiation
  • Go-to-Market Excellence: Lead our customer marketing programs for our digital payments portfolio including Paze, Google Autofill, Virtual Cards and AirKey; Lead GTM launch strategies for Capital One Software products
  • Research & Insights: Craft the learning agenda and use the insights to inform and guide ongoing product development, market IQ and competitive intelligence, acting as our thought leader and category expert

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or military experience
  • At least 10 years of experience in product marketing for an enterprise software or SaaS company
  • At least 4 years of experience marketing technical products to technical buyers
  • At least 4 years of experience in product driven marketing, working with engineering partners

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree
  • At least 12 years of experience in product marketing for an enterprise software or SaaS company
  • At least 4 years of experience working on highly cross-functional and matrixed teams
  • Has created a portfolio of impactful marketing content, sales enablement materials and a history of creating successful marketing programs

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

Richmond, VA: $212,800 - $242,800 for Sr. Director, Brand

New York, NY: $255,300 - $291,300 for Sr. Director, Brand

McLean, VA: $234,000 - $267,100 for Sr. Director, Brand

Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter.

This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
