Senior Associate, HR CODA Program Manager

Capital One Developer Academy (CODA) is a robust and intensive six month coding training that prepares analytical, non-Computer Science majors for careers in software engineering. Associates will spend their first six months learning how to code and be equipped to develop their career in tech. The completion of CODA culminates with a direct path into a software engineering role in our Technology Development Program (TDP), which is our pipeline of top technology talent.

We are looking for an exceptional CODA Program Manager to deliver our programmatic and learning initiatives, and manage the Richmond, Va associates during the six month cohort experience. The ideal candidate will have a passion for coaching and developing associates, as well as proven experience leading projects across multiple functions. The ideal candidate will also have experience managing programs or projects focused on developing and retaining talent. Effective organization, communication, and relationship building skills will ensure success in this role.

Summary of Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a CODA program manager for our Richmond associates, owning several workstreams that can include internship, performance tracking, and mentorship
  • Serve as the people manager for our Richmond CODA associates during their 6 month cohort, providing feedback, coaching, and mentoring as needed
  • Partner closely with our Richmond Instructor Lead and the entire instructional team to best support the associates and facilitate their successful transition into the TDP
  • Enthusiastically build and manage relationships with team members, CODA associates, recruiting stakeholders, and tech stakeholders across a range of levels, business functions, and geographies
  • Work closely with a collaborative and awesome team (we're biased, but really), and be willing to pitch in and help wherever needed

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or military experience
  • At least 3 years of program management experience
  • At least 2 years of experience in Microsoft Office or Google Suite

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of experience in human resources or at least 3 years of marketing experience or at least 3 years of consulting or a combination
  • Experience working at a technology company
  • Experience with people management
  • Experience with project management
  • Experience with event management
  • Experience interpreting metrics and trends
