Capital One Dining is seeking a dynamic Senior Associate, Business Development, to support the growth and success of its exclusive dining program. Reporting to the Business Development Manager, this role is perfect for someone with a passion for the dining industry and a desire to make an impact on both the restaurant community and Capital One's premium cardholder experience. The role is only open to candidates with prior experience in restaurants, premium events, or other relevant industry experience.

The Senior Associate, Business Development, will play a key role in restaurant acquisition, and relationship management, as well as supporting the planning and execution of restaurant-related events. This role offers an exciting opportunity to collaborate closely with restaurant partners, internal stakeholders, and external vendors to help elevate Capital One Dining as a premier credit card dining program.

Responsibilities:

  • Restaurant Acquisition and Support

    • Maintain and regularly update the "dream list" of target restaurants, incorporating the latest openings, trends, and relevant market data.
    • Assist in pursuing new restaurant partners aligned with Capital One Dining's strategic goals.
    • Develop relationships with restaurant operators and support onboarding processes, including training and contract implementation.
  • Operational Execution

    • Collaborate with the Reservation Platform partner to manage day-to-day operational support in restaurant data capture and continuity
  • Event Execution

    • Collaborate with internal and restaurant partners to develop, implement, and execute events for up to 100 people
    • Manage all pre-event components to include budget management, marketing, ticketing set-up, servicing alignment, food & beverage selection, vendor management and attendee engagement and communications
    • Oversight of on-site management with venue, vendors, and support team
    • Post-event management to include reviewing invoices for accuracy, processing payments, and debrief meetings

A Successful Candidate Will Have:

  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities effectively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to foster relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities to address challenges and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • A collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Additional Details

  • Travel may be required 1-2 times per quarter.
  • This role offers the opportunity to gain exposure to strategic decision-making and program development within a leading financial services organization.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, and Hospitality.
  • At least 2 years of experience in business development or operations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience in the restaurant industry or restaurant technology/reservation systems.
  • Experience in a client-facing role, demonstrating excellent relationship-building skills.
  • Familiarity with premium customer experiences or programs in the financial services industry.
  • Experience planning and executing events

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

New York City (Hybrid On-Site): $114,700 - $130,900 for Sr Assoc, Business Development

Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter.

This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
