Capital One, a Fortune Magazine "100 Best Companies to Work For," is seeking a creative, analytical Senior Associate, Affiliate Marketing Strategist to help manage affiliate marketing efforts for our retail bank division. This role will be responsible for overseeing and driving the execution of our affiliate campaigns while supporting a cross-functional roadmap to accelerate our digital marketing efforts. As a critical contributor to a rapidly growing digital marketing program, the associate will work closely with internal teams and agency partners, pulling many levers to grow the program.

The ideal candidate will have experience managing the day to day of the affiliate channel - strategic publisher evaluation & relationship management, campaign setup, managing budgets and pacing, testing & performance tracking/optimizations, and longer term channel planning. To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will need to thrive working in white space, and turning analytics into actionable marketing strategies. This position can be located in: New York, Wilmington, McLean & Richmond while offering a flexible work environment & schedule.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the development, execution & in-market management of affiliate media plans aligned & prioritized against business objectives
  • Drive testing strategies to inform partners selection, creative, & landing page optimization that engage consumers & drive business results
  • Build and manage relationships with publishing partners to help negotiate costs and unlock new testing opportunities
  • Support affiliate channel bi-annual planning process; validate and provide input into briefing and ensure tactical pull through
  • Introduce new opportunities to drive business growth in an efficient & profitable manner, identify and scope out new partner opportunities
  • Stay up to date with industry trends; recommend new opportunities to drive innovation while remaining compliant with the changing legal and regulatory environment
  • Partner with creative and site teams on ad copy & landing page development in response to approved channel strategies and in support of the broader digital agenda
  • Partner cross-functionally with analytics, data science, ad tech, creative, product, legal, and compliance teams to gain buy-in and drive results.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Military experience
  • At least 3 years of experience in affiliate management
  • At least 2 years of experience in planning, execution, and analysis of paid digital programs
  • At least 2 years of experience managing budgets


Preferred Qualifications:

  • 4+ years experience in affiliate management
  • 3+ years of agency or agency management experience
  • 2+ years of marketing experience in financial services or another highly regulated industry
  • 2+ years of experience working with cross-functional teams in a matrixed environment with a track record of effectively working autonomously & navigating ambiguity

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

McLean, VA: $94,600 - $107,900 for Sr. Associate, Marketing

New York, NY: $103,200 - $117,800 for Sr. Associate, Marketing

Richmond, VA: $86,000 - $98,200 for Sr. Associate, Marketing

Wilmington, DE: $86,000 - $98,200 for Sr. Associate, Marketing

Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter.

This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
