The Capital One ATM Implementations team (AIT) is looking for a high performing Principal Project Manager to support our evolving ATM hardware strategy. Capital One currently offers approximately 1200 ATMs within its national banking footprint with plans to modernize the ATM fleet. As Capital One transforms its physical presence across branches, consumer and café markets, the ATM will continue to play a larger role in meeting customer transaction needs. Our team is accountable for implementing ATM, TCR, and CCK hardware and functionality changes across the nation. This includes movement, installation, and removal of hardware, ensuring all regulatory requirements are met. We work closely with internal partners and vendors to perform this work.

We are seeking a dedicated, disciplined, project professional who excels in a team environment. This person will have excellent analytical, and communication skills, along with the ability to adapt to a fast paced environment. Some keys to success in the position are the ability to swiftly incorporate multiple dynamic inputs to drive decisions as well as the ability to see and understand the 'big picture' value chain.

Responsibilities:

  • Own well managed routines: ATM/Cash and Vendor monthly business reviews through slide creation with a keen understanding of data to drive the correct actions
  • Serve as subject matter expert in Google data studio and visual management; with an eye to automate wherever possible
  • Analyze data for issues and trends in support of data quality, leading root cause analysis and resolution
  • Provide quality validation oversight support to ensure well managed operations
  • Identify, initiate, lead cross functional process improvement projects to support simplification and a well managed, efficient operation
  • Drive simplification in AIT activities, demonstrating value chain thinking and partnership
  • Represent AIT as a subject matter expert in Change Well and Project Tollgates
  • Lead others through influence and mentoring fostering a culture of inclusion and growth
  • Manage key stakeholder relationships to include the appropriate communication channels
  • Communicate with 3rd party vendors to plan and implement projects
  • Actively demonstrate a risk-minded approach for activities occurring across the fleet by proactively identifying and mitigating potential issues
  • Complete downstream/back office submissions necessary for successful activities
  • Develop and improve the tools and processes used to manage operations
  • Manage assigned projects to support AIT activities, as needed

This person will:

  • Possess excellent problem solving and analytical skills
  • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Have the ability to navigate white space
  • Thrive in a fast paced environment
  • Be extremely organized and focused on attention to detail and multi-tasking
  • Knowledge of data networks or Windows Operating systems a plus

Location: This role is hybrid, where you will be expected to spend about half of your working time in the office and half working virtually.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School diploma, GED, or equivalent certification
  • At least 2 years of Project or Process management experience
  • At least 1 year of experience with Microsoft Office or Google Suite

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of ATM or Cash experience in a financial institution
  • Bachelor's degree or military experience
  • Lean, Agile, Six Sigma, Business Process Management, Project Management Certifications

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

McLean, VA: $117,300 - $133,900 for Principal Project Manager

Richmond, VA: $106,700 - $121,700 for Principal Project Manager

Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter.

This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
