Principal HR Associate
What You'll Do:
- Work closely with internal and external stakeholders in the hiring and background screening process for candidates who have been made an offer for employment.
- Connect with candidates (verbally and through email) to navigate the candidate through the background check process.
- Work with our vendor to provide any missing information to continue the background screen.
- Work with our downstream partners to provide internal status updates to leadership and teammates.
- Partner with the Learning & Development team, and other HR functions to support the onboarding and integration process for new associates into Capital One
- Serve as a beacon of the Capital One Values in all interactions with candidates and new Capital One associates
- Help HR Leaders identify and implement process improvements that enhance the associate experience and/or operational efficiency
- Support management of relevant departmental data systems, including candidate tracking database, budget tracking, decision-making tools and ad-hoc reporting requests
- Partner with internal clients and HR Business Partners to deliver top-notch associate experiences

Basic Qualifications:
- High School Diploma, GED, Equivalent Certification or Military Experience
- At least 1 year of process management experience
- At least 1 year of experience in a customer-facing role
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Intermediate-Advanced English fluency
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or military experience
- 3+ years experience in direct process support in a multi-step program
- Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification
- 3+ years of experience in Human Resources
- 1+ year of experience with Salesforce
- 1+ year of experience with Workday
