Principal Associate, Business Continuity| Retail Bank
As a Principal Associate in Capital One's Retail Bank and Premium Products Risk Office, you will apply your analytical and delivery skills to our highest profile Risk Management projects. You will partner across Retail Direct Bank to develop and support cutting-edge Risk solutions in a manner that supports innovation and protects our customers, shareholders, and associates. You will partner with peers and senior leaders, second and third lines of defense, as well as lines of business to drive organizational change in order to better manage the Company's risk in an open, collaborative environment where new ideas and solutions are both welcomed and rewarded.

Retail and Direct Bank Risk professionals are experienced, well-trained, and progressive individuals that operate within a highly collaborative team environment to deliver value-added risk services to our business partners. The Principal Associate candidate will be a highly-motivated Risk Management professional with excellent support, analytical, planning, collaboration, and communication skills. This role will support the line of business in developing and maintaining robust business continuity plans, strategies and recovery tasks while aligning to Enterprise Business Continuity Requirements across planning, testing and governance. Additional support of Business Continuity Resilency Metrics and Testing is required for this role and adhoc 2nd line driven initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Actively participates in team oriented efforts
- Managing multiple tasks independently to meet deadlines
- Coordinating work between multiple areas and working on multiple projects simultaneously; leveraging/influencing business partners to drive results
- Initiating and executing process improvements and leveraging other team members when appropriate
- Ability to communicate clearly and to interact and influence effectively at all levels of the organization
- Ability to work in a cross functional capacity and managing complex initiatives
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or military experience
- At least 1 year of Business Continuity or Disaster Recovery experience
- At least 1 year of experience using Google Suite products
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5+ years of Business Continuity Management or compensatory experience
- ABCP or CBCP Certification
