We are seeking Platform Engineers who are passionate about creating seamless collaboration experiences through cutting-edge video conferencing and virtual whiteboard technologies.

As part of a team that's leading the next wave of unified communication services, you will play an integral role in the design, implementation and maintenance of video conferencing and collaboration tools across desktop, mobile, conference rooms and collaboration spaces with a strong focus on simplification via automation. This role combines technical expertise with leadership, where you will champion and drive innovation while ensuring the unified communication solutions remain secure, reliable and compliant.

General Responsibilities:

  • Provide engineering management of our Unified Communications and Whiteboarding Platforms (Zoom, Zoom Whiteboard, LucidSpark/Lucid Chart)
  • Implement automation to elimination or prevent manual processes
  • Manage and maintain strong relationships with our vendors and ensure that they are meeting expected service levels and performance goals.
  • Work with product owners and stakeholders to business needs and recommend solutions
  • Effectively communicate across team, Product Owners, stakeholders and vendors to address business needs
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and collaborate with product owners to provide innovative ideas and insights in the design of new solutions
  • Continually research, test and stay up-to-date on new feature a functionality released from internal teams and or vendors
  • Primary contact for questions related to how the system works from a business and a technical perspective
  • Provide timely and effective production support for Unified Communications platforms by troubleshooting problems, testing, and working with vendors and internal partner teams to resolve issues
  • Focus on building and maintaining the underlying technical and operational aspects of the platform including remediating vulnerabilities
  • Document Platform architectures and features; Work with vendors to understand architecture and suitability to Capital One standards. Work closely with the Architecture team to align the platforms to the latest architecture and configuration.
  • Understand platform features, monitor and report usage and platform analytics
  • Support and improve operational processes such as governance, audit, legal & retention practices and standards
  • Encourage innovation, automation, implementation of cutting-edge technologies, inclusion, outside-of-the-box thinking, teamwork, self-organization and diversity to a legacy process
  • Develop, and utilize best practices to enhance the overall user experience of the platform
  • Design, develop, and implement solutions that adhere to cyber policies and requirements

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification
  • At least 5 years of experience with deploying , configuring and troubleshooting Unified Communications platforms (Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Webex)
  • At least 3 years of experience with network infrastructure, including firewalls, proxy and network security
  • At least 3 years experience AWS Administration
  • At least 2 years of experience in a technical leadership role overseeing strategic projects

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Relevant certifications in UC technologies (e.g., Microsoft Teams Certified Engineer, Zoom Learning Center)
  • 3+ years testing, designing, deploying, and management of conference room video conferencing hardware (Poly/HP, Crestron, Qsys).
  • 2+ years of experience in scripting languages
