Capital One is seeking a Cyber Client Assurance Principal Associate.

Cyber External Client Assurance (CECA), a component of Cyber within Capital One, is focused on risk and control management, technical capability validation, and compliance to cyber policies to address clients' oversight of Capital One. CECA also supports governance activities to identify, assess, control, and manage cyber risk for B2B commercialized software and services. Associates within CECA are highly-skilled information security, cyber, technology, or risk management professionals who have a wealth of experience and a demonstrated ability to self motivate in unknown environments while supporting appropriate control processes, and change management that ensure a well-managed organization.

This role will help to implement, execute, and manage program delivery and innovation to create repeatable processes that effectively respond to client requests, including but not limited to assessment responses and contract reviews. This role will afford the opportunity for the Principal Associate to drive innovation, like establishing a Trust Center, and become a subject matter expert in Capital One's security approaches and co-author external-facing security statements that proactively demonstrate our cybersecurity posture.

Responsibilities:

  • Own and drive efforts to facilitate certification work and strategic priorities
  • Refine initiatives and contribute to managing the team's backlog, including prioritization
  • Strengthen partnership with key stakeholders across Capital One
  • Understand Cyber External Client Assurance, Independent Assurance capabilities and maintain supporting program tool portfolio
  • Collaborate with partners across the enterprise to maintain data repositories and tools in alignment with target architecture
  • Drive effective conversations with technology partners for Capital One products, as well as client assurance solutions
  • Understand external client needs to identify, develop or procure solutions to provide greater assurance

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification
  • At least 3 years of experience with Risk Management or Governance, with experience implementing governance frameworks such as NIST or ISO
  • At least 2 years of experience with Process Management and Process Governance
  • At least 2 years of working with organizational controls or managing business processes

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 2+ years of experience developing, measuring, and managing work to meet Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • 2+ years of experience translating business strategy and analysis into consumer-facing digital products
  • 2+ years of experience in Relationship Management
  • Experience developing strategic frameworks and establishing guidelines for best practices
  • Familiarity with Agile principles and collaboration tools to perform work using a transparent, iterative development model
