Capital One Commercial Core Operations (CCO) is looking for an experienced candidate to support the growing Commercial Lending Operations Shared Services Team. This position supports agent syndicated loans within Corporate Banking, so solid product knowledge is a must. The role includes analytical components related to various loan accruals, manual calculations with ongoing reconciliation and remediation. Strong communication skills and product knowledge are critical to success, as well as working collaboratively with stakeholders to help facilitate ongoing change management.

We are looking for an Asset Based Lending Operations professional to join a team of collateral analysts supporting the day to day operations of a diverse mix of commercial lending customers and loan types. The team's core responsibility is centered around analyzing and monitoring client's collateral to ensure the validity of assigned collateral in accordance with their loan agreement. The team provides support throughout the life cycle of ABL lending, including providing feedback to support credit agreement negotiations, day to day collateral monitoring and ineligible calculations, through to payoff validations.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and monitor client's collateral to ensure compliance with loan agreements and accurate ineligible calculations.
  • Prepare collateral reconciliation, and balance deposit accounts on a daily basis and work with clients and account executives to resolve discrepancies.
  • Review and analyze clients accounts receivable performance, identify ineligible collateral following prescribed guidelines and reconcile client's collateral balances.
  • Prepares summaries of client's accounts receivable.
  • Review and analyze client's inventory consignments and prepare reports on client's inventory activity.
  • Review reports and documentation submitted by clients on a daily basis.
  • Prepare necessary documentation to process client's daily payment and advance requests.
  • Input data on client accounts into the bank's loan accounting Advanced Commercial Banking System (ACBS) via ECC Schedule module for tracking and trending purposes.
  • Leverage accounting systems to reconcile the loan balances to the collateral monitoring database and process transactions to manage dominion accounts.
  • Ongoing process and control review for effectiveness, gaps, and ongoing enhancements and updates based on evolving business needs, product offerings, and industry trends.
  • Prepare monthly/quarterly verification letters and perform regular follow up on any exceptions or non-responses.
  • Prepare verification summary report with findings for account executives to review and approve.
  • Work directly with customers to discuss and resolve any discrepancies in their collateral reporting.
  • Assist account executives with specialized product support such tax lien verifications and lender finance requirements.
  • Ensure collateral reporting and documentation is properly stored and maintained in alignment with document retention policies and procedures.
  • Other typical duties as assigned and associated with ongoing improvement and strategic goals and initiatives.

Work from Home Technology Requirements:

  • A secure home office environment that is free from background noise and distractions
  • A reliable private internet connection that is not supplied via cellular data or hotspot

    • A private network that is password protected where you have ownership or line of sight to every device on the network
    • Internet service must be provided by Cable or fiber Internet Service Provides (ISP)
    • Hotspots and satellite services are prohibited and do not meet performance criteria required for optimal agent/customer interactions
    • ISP download speeds on VPN must be at least 5Mbps, with 10+ Mbps preferred
    • To validate ISP speeds from a Chrome browser, go to www.google.com, type Speed Test and run from the Google landing page
  • Both Hardwire and WiFi internet connections are acceptable as long as speed and security requirements are met

Capital One reserves the right to modify internet service requirements with sixty (60) days notice. Internet Service Provider specs can change by provider and location within the US. If you are experiencing consistent issues with internet stability Capital One reserves the right to ask the agent to upgrade internet service to ensure a good customer experience.

Work from Home Living Requirements:

  • Candidates must live within approximately 50 miles of one of the hub locations based in 75024 and be comfortable coming in person whenever required with no less than 24 hours notice.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent certification
  • At least 1 year of experience in financial services or asset based lending
  • At least 1 year of experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) or Google Suite (Sheets, Slides, Docs)


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Military experience
  • 2+ years of experience in financial services or asset based lending
  • 2+ years of experience with collateral monitoring software (ACBS, Solifi, ABLSoft)
  • 2+ year of experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) or Google Suite (Sheets, Slides, Docs)
