As a Visual Marketing Designer, you will join the Public Private Solutions Marketing team which is focused on launching new products to market. As part of this work, you will play a vital role in crafting omni-channel marketing experiences that enhance our brand, foster an emotional connection with our clients and create a new category. You will collaborate closely with a highly creative team, engaging in design team events, critiques, and meetings. Your design process will involve ideation, co-creation, and the iterative refinement of designs with the aim of producing resonant, visually striking, on-brand deliverables. Your work will be guided by Design thinking principles, including user-centered design.

Your contribution will be pivotal in creating work that integrates seamlessly across print and digital platforms, including display ads, email graphics, social media assets, printed literature, brochures, print ads, landing pages, presentations, and other creative deliverables. In this position, you will have the opportunity to unleash your creative passion while also utilizing your visual communication skills along with a profound understanding of design principles. A keen interest in applying your design expertise in the FinTech/Investment Management industry is essential, and you will work closely with cross-functional teams in Marketing, Brand, and Business on a daily basis.

I am the right person Capital Group is looking for:

  • You possess a strong foundation in visual design, encompassing expertise in typography, grid systems, color theory, and layout. Additionally, experience in transitions, animation, motion design, and dynamic interactions is desirable. Your portfolio that you will share highlights this knowledge and the great projects you've been able to design!
  • You have a keen eye for aesthetics and details and are proficient in the following applications: InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Figma, Sketch and MS Office/PowerPoint.
  • You are tech-savvy, with a basic understanding of programming concepts which helps you communicate comfortably with internal partners, such as software engineers and web developers.
  • You have a basic understanding of the digital and litho printing processes, including file design and prep.
  • You have an appreciation for working on a creative team that is a part of a larger Marketing organization focused on functioning globally and evolving our Brand to meet our client's needs. You have experience working with corporate Brand guidelines and Design Systems.
  • You can work effectively both independently and collaboratively and can navigate ambiguity with confidence. You are comfortable working a hybrid schedule, with at least 3 days/week in-office.
  • You have a degree and/or certifications in Graphic Design, Visual Design, Visual Arts, Communications, Marketing and/or related field and at least three years of professional experience.

New York Base Salary Range: $90,012-$144,019

Los Angeles Base Salary Range: $84,894-$135,830

In addition to a highly competitive base salary, per plan guidelines, restrictions and vesting requirements, you also will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, plus Capital's annual profitability bonus plus a retirement plan where Capital contributes 15% of your eligible earnings.
