As a Solution Engineering Manager in Smart Automation, you will be working with intelligent automation technologies to enable the Digital Workforce for Capital Group. You will be evolving the vision of the Digital Workforce and how it can be leveraged to help Capital Group realize competitive advantages through the use of Artificial Intelligence (Ai) among a portfolio of technologies that scale and simplify human process. You will have the day-to-day responsibility of leading a team that will be designing, building, and supporting these process automations. In addition, you will be connecting with industry peers and sources to drive a roadmap for enabling new automation capabilities.

  • You own and drive the technical solution delivery of software based process automations using custom built or commercial tools.
  • You have a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Business, or related working experience and at least 10 years of solution delivery experience, software applications development, and general working knowledge of solution lifecycle management (SLM) tools and continuous delivery methods including Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Agile practices.
  • You have at least 3 years of technical delivery experience specific to Digital Transformation initiatives, Business Process Management, Robotic Process Automation, Intelligent Document Processing, Machine Learning, or GenAi and fundamental knowledge of how and why these technologies are applied to real world use cases to automate, accelerate, or assist business process.
  • You have at least 3 years of people management experience acting as a player/coach providing technical leadership, mentorship, and development of engineering staff and have working knowledge of competency-based frameworks and talent management practices.
  • You have practical knowledge of tools, techniques, and best practices for implementing process automation and understand placement decisions both within custom solutions and capability-based tooling. (e.g. BluePrism, UiPath, Automation Anywhere). Additional experience with Business Process Management (BPM) solutions a plus. (e.g. Appian)
  • You have proven experience leading technology teams in either application development, platforms, or infrastructure, and a basic to intermediate understanding of cloud native application development and lifecycle. (e.g. AWS)

Southern California Base Salary Range: $166,551-$266,482

In addition to a highly competitive base salary, per plan guidelines, restrictions and vesting requirements, you also will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, plus Capital's annual profitability bonus plus a retirement plan where Capital contributes 15% of your eligible earnings.
