As the Senior Social Media Specialist on the Global Communications team, you will play a critical role in supporting Capital Group's executive social media presence. Your social media experience will enable you to create compelling, personal content for a diverse bench of executives, each with different voices and expertise. The Global Communications team creates original content that authentically allows Capital Group's diverse and experienced executives to be powerful digital storytellers. Through channel expertise, analytics and excellence in storytelling, this team strengthens Capital Group's corporate reputation by sharing who we are and what we stand for with associates, clients and the companies with which we invest.

You will help to create and guide content strategies for each executive by understanding stakeholder needs, operating proactively, reacting quickly and managing a high degree of complexity within a matrixed organization. You will leverage insights to inform decisions and optimize social media channels, ensuring alignment with our objectives.

Your role will provide day-to-day social media support across executive LinkedIn profiles, implementing Global Communication's social media strategy, writing and developing compelling custom content.

  • You will partner with the Senior Manager, Executive Social Media to implement strategies, create content and meet publishing deadlines.
  • Your responsibilities include using social media intentionally as a communications tool to align with key business topics and providing tailored content to each executive's voice.
  • You will lead the legal approval process for executive content, managing close relationships with legal and compliance teams.
  • You will regularly publish posts and track performance, gathering insights to inform strategic and content enhancements.
  • You will manage the community engagement of executive LinkedIn profiles.
  • You will stay up to date on industry trends, ensure brand consistency, and develop best practices for knowledge sharing within the organization.

  • You will have a bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field
  • Your experience includes at least 3-5 years in social media management and/or executive communications
  • You are proficient in using social media tools and you possess the technical skills for data analysis
  • You have managed and published content on executive social profiles
  • You have a comprehensive understanding of current - and can anticipate future - media trends, best practices and data analysis
  • Your strengths include strategic thinking, excellent communication and a team-oriented mindset
  • Brandwatch experience preferred

Southern California Base Salary Range: $108,135-$173,016

In addition to a highly competitive base salary, per plan guidelines, restrictions and vesting requirements, you also will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, plus Capital's annual profitability bonus plus a retirement plan where Capital contributes 15% of your eligible earnings.
