As the Senior Social Media Specialist on the Media Strategy team, you will play a critical role in supporting Capital Group's social media presence. Your social media experience will enable you to work cross-functionally and support on-going business needs. We have transformed into a strategic unit that sets editorial standards and crafts content with global consistency and applicability. Our efforts create synergy between Capital Group's Marketing, Communications, and Sales teams, amplifying the company's reach and fortifying our brand's narrative across all platforms.
You will help to guide content strategies that resonate with our diverse audience, enhancing engagement and strengthening brand loyalty. You will leverage insights to inform decisions and optimize social media channels, ensuring alignment with our business objectives and amplifying our message on a global scale.

Your role will lead day-to-day social media support across Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, Facebook and other social media platforms, keeping channels compliant, up-to-date and on the cutting edge of social media trends.
- You will partner with the Social Media team to meet publishing deadlines and hold other teams accountable for their contributions to our collaborative process.
- Your responsibilities include using social media intentionally as a communications tool to align with key business topics and providing a tailored experience that resonates with our global client base of financial professionals.
- You will manage and grow our social media channels, overseeing new launches and taking full ownership from conceptualization to post-implementation analysis and reporting.
- You will hold briefings with business units and problem solve how to best bring their ideas to life on social channels.
- You will regularly track performance and gather insights to inform content enhancements.
- You will stay up to date on industry trends, ensure brand consistency, and develop best practices for knowledge sharing within the organization.

- You will have a bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field
- Your experience includes at least 3-5 years in social media management or community management
- You are proficient in using content management systems and social media tools, and you possess the technical skills for data analysis
- You have managed and published content on social media channels of 500k followers or more and at a global level
- You have a comprehensive understanding of current - and can anticipate future - media trends, best practices and data analysis
- Graphic design and video editing skills not required but preferred
- EveryoneSocial and Sprinklr experience or other internal community management tool preferred
- Soft skills include strategic thinking, excellent communication and team-oriented mindset
Southern California Base Salary Range: $103,977-$166,363
In addition to a highly competitive base salary, per plan guidelines, restrictions and vesting requirements, you also will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, plus Capital's annual profitability bonus plus a retirement plan where Capital contributes 15% of your eligible earnings.
