Role summary: As the Business Insights & Reporting ("BIR") Manager, you will lead the Europe and Asia ("EA") BIR team. This is a "Player / Coach" role, where you will both lead and contribute hands on to the overall success of the team.
You will work closely with EA business partners to enable the delivery of data insights and metrics used to measure, run and optimize Capital Group business functions that depend on Investment Management data. You will be expected to align with the priorities outlined in the Enterprise Data Excellence strategy, covering Data Governance, Data Enablement, BIR and Data Literacy.
You will be responsible for leading a team, resource capacity management for associates and contractors, including prioritization, transparency, associate talent strategy and development and scalable vendor strategy. This will include coaching, identifying stretch opportunities, role clarity of team, assigning work, managing performance, and further developing the team to find better ways to identify and solve operational business problems. You will foster a culture where associates feel valued, engaged, and able to connect their contributions to Capital Group's broader strategic priorities.

Primary Responsibilities
- Manages partnerships with senior business leaders, key stakeholders, and IT to develop and promote our investment-management data strategy.
- Work directly with stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into technical solutions.
- Leads and develops a team which leverages industry best practices, data analysis skills, and business expertise to solve investment management data needs.
- Leads efforts and projects aimed at designing and building complex business intelligence solutions in support of reporting automation, information delivery, insights enablement, and self-service.
- Provides thought leadership in the evaluation of emerging technologies and it's applications to investment-management data needs, leveraging subject matter expertise of business functions

- You have a proven track record delivering solutions in Business Intelligence Solutions in a complex organization.
- You can leverage Data Enablement tools (Alteryx, Power BI, Data Bricks etc.)
- Expertise in Reporting and Data Visualization (Tableau, Power BI etc.)
- You are a fast learner and thrive when dealing with ambiguity.
- You have an ability to translate vision into product scope by planning, prioritizing, coordinating and overseeing cross-functional projects and initiatives.
- You also have a passion for automation and "Citizen Development" with demonstrated interest in low-code and/or no-code tools (such as Alteryx, Microsoft Power Platform, Tableau, etc.)
- You take the time to create and maintain meaningful relationships. You're a generous collaborator and you've fine-tuned your communication style to influence a variety of personalities.
- You have experience building high performing teams by leveraging staff to maximize efficiency and effectiveness of delivery.
- Experience working with AI (Machine Learning, Gen AI, LLM etc.) a plus.
- You have a bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
In addition to a highly competitive base salary, per plan guidelines, restrictions and vesting requirements, you also will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, plus Capital's annual profitability bonus plus a retirement plan where Capital contributes 15% of your eligible earnings.
