The ideal candidate will have the technical skills to partner with technical leadership on technical initiatives, the business skills to partner with business leadership on business initiatives, and the communication skills to act as the "glue" between them, as necessary.

"I am the person Capital Group is looking for."

  • You have Deep Technical Acumen: You have a strong background in software development and understand the mechanics of modern AI and how to build AI-enabled systems. You have experience enabling enterprise efforts in emerging technologies. You have a very senior level understanding of software architecture and how software gets developed / deployed / maintained.
  • You have Expertise in AI and Emerging Technologies: You have a solid understanding of how modern AI "works," what it does well, what its limitations are, and where it is headed. You are the person who experiments with new AI tools and who spends a lot of time thinking about how they will transform work, both technical and non-technical. You have a broad interest in transformative technologies beyond AI (e.g., distributed ledgers, quantum computing, augmented reality, etc.) and what their impacts will be on the workplace and on the world. You are knowledgeable and credible as a subject-matter expert across the emerging technology space and are an effective evangelist for new technologies.

  • You have a Strong Understanding of Business and Strategy: You have experience being a leader in emerging technologies at an enterprise level. You understand not just the technologies themselves, but also where and how to apply new technologies in line with broader business strategy. Some of this will be driven by the business themselves, but as the Emerging Technologies team we will often need to take a more proactive approach to identifying business problems.
  • You have Executive Communication and Presence: You have excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly to both senior-level stakeholders and junior-level generalists. You are adept at crafting presentations and delivering them to varied audiences. You have experience building and maintaining strong relationships with colleagues and external partners.

  • You are recognized as a thought leader in AI and/or other areas of emerging technology.
  • You have a strong familiarity with the modern AI stack and its capabilities, including various LLMs, agent frameworks, vector databases, etc.
  • You are experienced with using AI and AI tools to automate and/or improve business processes and workflows. You have strong opinions (weakly held) about how new technologies will impact the workplace.
