As a Solutions Lead Architect, you will join the GTSA (Global Technology Strategy and Architecture) team and support Client Experience Technology (CXT) in the Sales Enablement and Content domains. This is an exciting time to come onboard and drive the evolution needed to support Capital Group's long-term strategic plan, driving transformational change and innovation across CXT.

You will collaborate with business leaders to influence and define strategic technology direction and develop product roadmaps in partnership with corresponding CXT delivery teams, while contributing to target state solutions that can scale, support our business growth on a global scale and improve our customer/associate experiences. You'll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our company, from supporting the delivery of multi-year/multi-million transformational initiatives to applying Generative AI to sales and content use cases.

As a Solutions Architect Lead your responsibilities include:

  • You will build end to end solution blueprints that are centered on business outcomes, drive overall solution heath, and aim to advance and innovate our technologies across strategic vendor (SaaS) and custom solutions.
  • You will seek to understand challenging business needs, articulate solution options, evaluate tradeoffs and influence key decisions.
  • You will lead and develop architectural point of views to drive decisions and discussions at various Architectural Review Boards and other governance bodies as needed.
  • You will help ensure that CXT application teams are developing solutions consistent with architectural principles, technology standards and best practices.
  • You will identify opportunities for process rationalization, automation, and data driven decision making.
  • You will stay current with emerging technologies, industry trends and apply them to solution designs.
  • You will have responsibility for mentoring, coaching, motivating, and influencing embedded architects and other solution engineers to strengthen our bench and increase our fungibility.

  • You have a bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • You have 10+ years of hands-on software development and architecture experience.
  • You have deep understanding of architecture discipline, processes, concepts, and best practices.
  • You have technology expertise that extends to data management, data modeling, information architecture and integration patterns/technologies.
  • You have proven success in engaging business partners, other technology teams and translating concepts into well-designed technology solutions.
  • You have strong leadership abilities, leading through influence and example, not through direction.
  • You can manage ambiguity and approach complex assignments in a pragmatic manner.
  • You are recognized as a strong technical leader with a passion for mentorship.
  • You have excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to generate detailed content and present it effectively.
  • You have experience with Salesforce products, Adobe products, publishing solutions, iPaaS solutions and key integration technologies and patterns (services, messaging, ETL, etc)
  • As a plus, you have AWS cloud platforms/technologies, data lake technologies and AI/ML experience.

Southern California Base Salary Range: $187,370-$299,792

In addition to a highly competitive base salary, per plan guidelines, restrictions and vesting requirements, you also will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, plus Capital's annual profitability bonus plus a retirement plan where Capital contributes 15% of your eligible earnings.
