Job description:

We are looking for an experienced, passionate, and strategic UX Manager to lead our user experience team and help define the future of our products. The UX Manager will work closely with product managers, engineers, and other cross-functional teams to create seamless, intuitive, and delightful experiences for our users. As the leader of the UX team, you will be responsible for setting the vision, guiding the execution of design initiatives, and ensuring the highest standards of user experience across our products.

This role is ideal for a seasoned design leader who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and is committed to building products that are not only functional but also meaningful to the people who use them.

Key responsibilities:

  • Vision & Strategy:
    Develop and execute a comprehensive UX strategy that aligns with business goals, product objectives, and user needs. Own and communicate the vision for user experience across all product offerings.
  • Team Leadership & Development:
    Lead, mentor, and grow a talented team of UX designers, researchers, and content strategists. Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and innovation. Provide direction and feedback to help team members thrive in their roles.
  • Design Excellence:
    Ensure the delivery of high-quality, user-centered design solutions that solve real problems. Maintain consistency in design across all products while adapting designs for different user needs and contexts.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    Partner closely with Product, Engineering, Marketing, and other teams to align on goals, ensure smooth execution, and advocate for the user at every stage of the product development process.
  • Research & Insights:
    Champion user research as an integral part of the design process. Ensure that user insights, market trends, and competitive analysis are regularly incorporated into product and design decisions.
  • Process Optimization:
    Establish and maintain scalable design processes and workflows. Ensure efficient communication, transparency, and collaboration across teams.
  • Stakeholder Management:
    Present design concepts, research findings, and UX metrics to senior leadership and other stakeholders. Effectively communicate the value of UX and secure buy-in for design initiatives.
  • Design Systems & Tools:
    Oversee the creation and evolution of a cohesive design system that supports consistency and scalability across all products. Ensure the design team utilizes the best tools and practices for delivering impactful designs.

Required Skills:

  • Experience:
    8+ years of experience in UX design, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role, ideally within a product-focused or technology-driven company.
  • Proven Track Record:
    Demonstrated ability to lead large-scale, complex design projects from conception to launch. Experience managing and growing high-performing design teams.
  • Expertise in UX/UI Design:
    Strong portfolio showcasing expertise in UX/UI design, including user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and user interface design. Familiarity with design tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD, and others.
  • Strong Understanding of UX Research:
    Expertise in user research methods (e.g., usability testing, ethnographic studies, surveys, etc.) and an ability to translate research findings into actionable design insights.
  • Leadership & Communication Skills:
    Excellent leadership, mentorship, and interpersonal skills. Ability to inspire teams, influence stakeholders, and present design concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Problem-Solving Mindset:
    Demonstrated ability to tackle complex design challenges with a solutions-oriented approach. Passionate about making difficult decisions to improve the user experience.
  • Analytical Skills:
    Strong understanding of analytics, A/B testing, and other methods for measuring and optimizing user experience and engagement.
  • Education:
    A Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, or a related field is preferred. Advanced degrees or certifications in UX are a plus.
