Job Title: Test Lead - Automation Architect (Python and AWS)

Job Location: Local to Philadelphia, PA or willing to relocate.

Job description: TheAutomation Architect with Python and AWS expertise is responsible for designing and implementing test automation frameworks, strategies, and solutions. The role involves collaborating with development and quality assurance teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality software products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and execute API test scripts using Postman to verify functionality and ensure seamless integration of services.
  • Create and manage automated testing frameworks in Python to enhance testing efficiency and scalability.
  • Work closely with DevOps teams to incorporate test automation into CI/CD workflows for streamlined deployments.
  • Leverage AWS Cloud Services to test cloud applications for performance, scalability, and security.
  • Use tools like Kibana to track application performance, troubleshoot issues, and analyze system logs.
  • Leverage SOAP/RESTful API to create high-level automation for low-level tasks.
  • Detect and address bottlenecks, providing insights and solutions to optimize application performance.
  • Conduct functional, regression, and performance testing in a hands-on capacity to deliver high-quality results.
  • Develop comprehensive test plans and cases for both manual and automated testing based on project requirements.
  • Adopt DevOps methodologies to improve testing workflows and ensure faster delivery cycles.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to set quality benchmarks and resolve issues effectively.
  • Document test results and manage defect tracking through structured QA processes.
  • Continuously enhance testing methodologies and scripts to keep up with advancements in technology and industry standards.

Required Skills:

  • Test Automation Architecture experience
  • Python, Unix shells, debugging
  • Working in a team environment
  • API Testing, ability to write SQL queries, manual testing knowledge
  • Using Python to create and manage automated testing frameworks
  • Solid understanding of the following: AWS (ECS/Fargate, Lambda, DynamoDB, API Gateway, EC2, Kinesis, ELK), GIT/Github, CI/CD (Concourse and Jenkins), Docker
