The Sector Leader / Sales Leader - Pharma / BioPharma leads the sales and Industry SME teams within Capgemini Engineering ensuring effective sales strategies are in place to achieve revenue and profitable growth objectives for the company. The leader will define sales strategy and achieve new / existing business sales targets while keeping the sales team motivated and driving sales performance. Leader will also partner with other departments to remove roadblocks and develop data/tools to accelerate sales and lead key customer relationships.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead and direct sales organization to drive sales performance and provide day to day leadership and management to achieve goals.
  • Engages with customers prospects and bring in new business and leads.
  • Lead all aspects of and ensure that sales forecasts are up to date and reliable
  • Develop and ensure budget compliance according to company goals and strategic objectives and analyze performance and market data to identify new growth opportunities.
  • Develop and drive short- and long-term solution sales strategies to sell Life Sciences solutions within the Pharma and BioPharma Industry
  • Grow the sales funnel and drive maturation of the funnel from qualification to closure and lead all aspects of high-profile relationships
  • Establishing standards and measures for performance and monitoring of sales team efficiency and drive continuous improvement through goal setting and increasing benchmarks.
  • Actively participate in the hiring, on-boarding, development, and increase team collaboration, engagement to attract right required talent to achieve sales plans.
  • Promote the engagement of Salesforce and other tools available to increase efficiency in Sales pipeline management and forecasting.

Required Skills

  • The ideal candidate will have 15+ years of validated experience at the sales leadership level successfully leading revenue growth within large, high-profile accounts.
  • Must have closed multiple $10+ million deals and $50+ million annually.
  • Must have a strong understanding of Pharma and Bio Pharma Market with key trends and shifts in the market with focus on Cell and Gene Therapies, Biologics, Large Molecule Development, Manufacturing, Gen AI etc.
  • Must have experience in one or more of the Life Sciences Solutions/ services in area of R&D, Quality Clinical, Regulatory and Manufacturing.
  • The candidate must have alliances in the industry and the proven ability to influence C-level communications.
  • Outstanding interpersonal relationship and leadership skills to build and lead industry partnerships.
  • A Bachelor's Science Degree in Engineering, master's degree would be preferred or equivalent experience
  • Confirmed leadership ability, motivational skills, along with the combination of tact, integrity, and common sense.
  • Consistent track record of recruiting, developing, and retaining hard-working sales talent.
  • Superior oral and written communication skills with the ability forecast, analyze, and communicate sales growth.
  • Experience in selling methods / techniques, and the ability to coach and mentor team.
  • Validated strength in creating sales strategies, lead through the sales pipeline and win customer engagement.
  • Ability to present information to senior management and customers
