Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define test plans, test cases, and test scripts, ensuring they cover all functional aspects of Salesforce applications and integrations
  • Lead the creation of comprehensive test documentation, including functional test plans, traceability matrices, and defect reports
  • Identify, document, and prioritize defects, and work closely with development teams to facilitate resolution
  • Report testing progress, issues, and risks to stakeholders, providing clear and actionable insights on test coverage, defect status, and overall testing effectiveness
  • Ensure test activities align with project timelines, and proactively identify and mitigate testing risks
  • Oversee end-to-end testing activities, including system integration, user acceptance, regression, and functional testing
  • Collaborate with automation teams to integrate automated testing into the functional testing process where applicable
  • Lead the execution of manual and automated test cases, ensuring test results are documented and defects are tracked
  • Lead and mentor a team of functional and automation testers, providing guidance on best practices and testing methodologies
  • Foster a culture of quality and continuous improvement within the testing team
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement in testing activities, implementing changes to increase efficiency and effectiveness
  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting of metrics, with clear explanations of trends, deviations, and potential areas for improvement
  • Monitor and review metrics regularly, making adjustments to reflect changing business needs and priorities
  • Provide overall status updates, highlighting potential risks and issues during the daily stand-up

Experience:

  • Experience in Salesforce functional testing, with at least 2+ years in a lead or senior testing role
  • Hands-on experience with Salesforce platforms (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud) and their functionalities
  • Strong experience in test planning, test execution, defect tracking, and reporting
  • Proven experience in managing and mentoring testing teams in an Agile environment

Technical Skills:

  • Solid understanding of Salesforce architecture, workflows, Apex, Visualforce, Lightning components, and integrations
  • Proficient in executing manual functional tests, writing test cases, and performing test execution and defect tracking
  • Knowledge of test management tools like Jira, ALM (Application Lifecycle Management), Rally, and others for defect logging, tracking, and reporting
  • Recognizes the value of preparing test data early in the sprint to ensure smooth testing processes
  • Knowledge of Agile testing practices, including test sprints, Scrum ceremonies, and continuous testing in an Agile environment
  • Capable of developing metrics and KPIs to help track and improve the performance of the testing team

  • Experience working closely with clients and providing clear, concise status updates
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under tight deadlines
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify root causes of issues and propose solutions"
