Job Description

Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly skilled Senior PL/SQL Developer with 10 to 15 years of experience. The candidate should have a deep understanding of Oracle databases, complex SQL queries, and PL/SQL development. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in working with SQL Server and Oracle databases, specifically in migrating SQL Server queries to Oracle. Additionally, a basic understanding of Python or R for validation and reconciliation tasks is required. Fluency in both spoken and written English is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and optimize complex SQL queries for data extraction, reporting, and integration.
  • Migrate and translate SQL Server queries into Oracle while ensuring optimized performance and functionality.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve migration-related issues in Oracle PL/SQL code, ensuring smooth migration processes.
  • Perform validation and reconciliation of data during migration projects to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Develop and maintain efficient Oracle PL/SQL code for applications and databases, focusing on performance optimization and scalability.
  • Leverage Python or R for basic data validation and reconciliation tasks, aiding in automation and accuracy.
  • Work closely with various teams including database administrators, software engineers, and business analysts to design robust database solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Oracle Database Expertise (7-10 Years):
  • Extensive experience with Oracle database development, including tuning and optimization.
  • PL/SQL Experience (7-10 Years):
  • Proven experience in PL/SQL development, with a focus on high-performance code.
  • SQL Experience (7-10 Years):
  • Mastery of SQL, with the ability to write, debug, and optimize complex queries.
  • SQL Server & Oracle Experience:
  • Strong experience with both SQL Server and Oracle databases, including migrating SQL Server queries to Oracle.
  • Migration & Issue Resolution:
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve Oracle PL/SQL code migration issues.
  • Basic Python/R:
  • Familiarity with Python or R for data validation and reconciliation purposes.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with database performance tuning and optimization.
  • Familiarity with Agile or Scrum methodologies.
  • Hands-on experience with version control tools like Git.
  • Experience with ETL tools and processes.
