Key Responsibilities

  • The Methods Engineer will serve as the technical authority on emerging AI algorithms and processes applying their expertise to design adapt and implement advanced AI solutions within our product and service landscape.
  • This role requires an expert-level understanding of AI methodologies and practical experience in leveraging them for impactful business outcomes.
  • In addition to developing customized AI applications the Methods Engineer will be a resource for internal teams and field specialists supporting client-specific implementations and ensuring AI solutions are aligned with business objectives.
  • Algorithm Design and Customization - Develop adapt and optimize AI algorithms to meet the unique needs of client product portfolios.
  • Identify and evaluate new and emerging AI algorithms assessing their potential impact and feasibility for real-world applications in insurance.
  • Technical Leadership in AI Methods - Serve as the organization s primary expert on AI algorithms providing insights into how cutting-edge AI methods can address specific business challenges and improve product offerings. Lead technical discussions and collaborations with data science engineering and product teams to ensure the successful integration of AI solutions into business processes.
  • Client Context and Implementation Support - Act as a resource for field specialists and internal teams by providing technical guidance and support for implementing AI solutions in client-specific contexts. Work closely with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues adapt algorithms for specific business needs and ensure successful deployment and scaling of AI solutions.
  • Innovation and Continuous Improvement - Stay abreast of the latest advancements in AI and machine learning particularly within the insurance and financial services sectors. Regularly evaluate and refine AI processes to enhance model performance accuracy and efficiency fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Knowledge Sharing and Mentorship: - Provide mentorship to data science and engineering teams sharing expertise on complex AI methodologies and best practices. Develop documentation training materials and internal resources to empower teams with a deeper understanding of AI techniques and their applications.

Required Skills

  • Ph.D. in Artificial Intelligence Machine Learning Data Science or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in AI algorithm design customization and practical implementation ideally within the insurance or financial services sector.
  • Deep expertise in a broad range of AI architectures and techniques including supervised and unsupervised learning reinforcement learning deep learning including GenAI and advanced statistical methods.
  • Proven track record in designing and deploying custom AI algorithms to solve business challenges in real-life scenarios.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to support internal teams and provide clear actionable insights to stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience in mentoring and knowledge-sharing within technical teams.
