Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Data/ETL Test Engineer with expertise in IBM Master Data Management (MDM) to join our team. This role involves ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and quality across systems by conducting testing on MDM implementations, performing ETL validations, and automating data testing tasks. The ideal candidate has a strong background in SQL, Python, and ETL processes, with excellent problem-solving and collaboration skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct testing on MDM implementations, with a focus on IBM MDM, to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and quality across systems.
  • Perform Data and ETL testing to validate data transformation, extraction, and loading processes.
  • Write and execute SQL queries to perform data validation, reconciliation, and quality checks on large data sets.
  • Develop and maintain test cases, test data, and automation scripts to ensure comprehensive data testing.
  • Use Python to automate repetitive testing tasks, create custom data analysis scripts, and improve testing efficiency.
  • Work closely with data architects, developers, and analysts to resolve data issues, identify data quality improvements, and enhance testing processes.
  • Document test results, provide feedback, and make recommendations to improve data integrity and testing practices.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong expertise in IBM MDM and data testing methodologies.
  • Proficiency in SQL for data validation and reconciliation.
  • Experience in ETL testing and data transformation processes.
  • Programming experience in Python for automation and data analysis.

Experience:

  • Proven track record in testing large datasets and ensuring data quality in MDM implementations.
  • Familiarity with data modeling and database concepts.
  • Hands-on experience in writing and executing test plans, test cases, and automation scripts.
