Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Mainframe Application Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in evaluating, modifying, and deploying system components, with a focus on ensuring seamless integration, stability, and production performance. This role requires hands-on expertise in working with ServiceNow, job scheduling tools, CI/CD pipelines, and database management.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess and modify system components, including programs, jobs, procedures, and databases, to meet technical and functional requirements.
  • Utilize ServiceNow for deployment package preparation, change request management, and maintaining approval workflows.
  • Conduct thorough testing in Integration and Acceptance environments, ensuring modified components meet stability standards.
  • Obtain sign-offs from stakeholders following successful testing and validation of system components.
  • Execute production deployments in alignment with release cycles and priority schedules.
  • Monitor production jobs for successful execution, troubleshoot issues as they arise, and ensure rapid resolution.
  • Document analysis, modifications, and deployment processes using Confluence for team collaboration and future reference.
  • Maintain expertise in job scheduling tools, version control, and database management (SQL, stored procedures).
  • Work with automated deployment tools and manage systems within CI/CD pipelines to streamline deployment processes.
  • Collaborate in an Agile environment to ensure smooth integration, deployment, and continuous improvement across all development phases.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in assessing, modifying, and deploying system components to production environments.
  • Proficiency with ServiceNow for change request and deployment management.
  • Hands-on experience with job scheduling tools, version control systems, and database management (SQL, stored procedures).
  • Experience in testing within Integration and Acceptance environments and obtaining stakeholder approvals.
  • Strong experience with CI/CD pipelines and working with automated deployment tools.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and experience in cross-functional team collaboration.
