Job description:

We are looking for a dedicated Fullstack Developer with expertise in React and Swift, capable of integrating external hardware with iOS applications and rendering the output in a web view. The ideal candidate will have experience with external device communication (e.g., via Bluetooth, USB, or Wi-Fi) and will collaborate with multi-functional teams to deliver flawless hardware-software integration. This role involves building robust native iOS components and multifaceted, responsive web interfaces. This will be an onsite role in West Chester, PA.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain native iOS applications using Swift and SwiftUI.
• Integrate external hardware devices (e.g., sensors, printers, scanners) using communication protocols like Bluetooth, USB, or Wi-Fi.

• Process data from external hardware and render it within a WebView or provide APIs for front-end rendering.
• Use frameworks such as Core Bluetooth, ExternalAccessory, or similar for hardware communication.
• Debug and resolve connectivity issues between hardware and the iOS application.
• Develop and maintain interactive web interfaces using React.
• Integrate APIs from the native iOS layer to render real-time data in a WebView.
• Build reusable and modular components for flawless integration and data visualization.
• Optimize web applications for performance, responsiveness, and scalability.
• Ensure cross-browser compatibility and accessibility compliance (e.g., WCAG standards).
• Write and maintain unit tests for front-end components using Jest, React Testing Library, or similar frameworks.
• Collaborate with hardware engineers, UI/UX designers, and backend developers to deliver integrated solutions.
• Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following best practices.
• Conduct thorough testing to ensure hardware compatibility across different iOS devices.
• Supervise and improve application performance for both mobile and web platforms.
• Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in mobile development, hardware integration, and web frameworks.

Required Skills:

• Solid experience with Swift and SwiftUI for iOS development.
• Hands-on experience in integrating external hardware devices using protocols such as Core Bluetooth, ExternalAccessory, or MultipeerConnectivity.
• Proficiency in React for front-end development.
• Proven understanding of WebView (e.g., WKWebView) for rendering dynamic web content in iOS apps.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and asynchronous programming for data exchange.
• Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (ES6+).
• Experience with TypeScript for better code maintainability in React.
• Understanding of WebSocket communication for real-time data rendering.
• Familiarity with GraphQL for advanced API interactions.
• Understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG, ARIA) and tools like axe and Lighthouse.
• Experience in unit testing for both front-end and back-end components.
• Knowledge of encryption and security protocols for hardware communication.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, especially for hardware-software debugging.
• Superb communication and teamwork abilities.
• Attention to detail with a focus on delivering high-quality user experiences.
• Adaptability to learn and work with new tools and technologies.

Good-to-Have:

• Experience with Angular for front-end development.
• Familiarity with Node.js for back-end development.
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems like Git.
• Knowledge of microservices architecture and Kubernetes/Docker for containerization.
• Exposure to testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, Mocha for React; JUnit for Kotlin).
