Reporting to: Director, People & Culture

Job status: 1year Temporary Full-time 1.0 FTE (75 hours bi-weekly)

Compensation: $63,000 - $70,000

JOB SUMMARY

Reporting to the Director, People & Culturethis role in joint collaboration with the Employment Branding & RecruitmentSpecialist manages the entire recruitment cycle. As part of the People &Culture team they participate in and support all aspects of HR initiatives,processes and policies.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Recruitment - 80%
• Jointly leads allaspects of recruitment initiatives and processes for positions across theorganization
• Attends in person andvirtual career fairs to reach a broad talent pool
• Develops strongrelationships with hiring Managers and panels to create adequate postings,robust interview questions and continuously improve the process for all parties
• Sources and listens toemployee and candidate input taking a continuous improvement approach to ensurethe best recruitment experience for all parties
• Coachesmanagers: on applying People & Culture recruitment policies and procedures
• Manages the recruitmentprocess through the Applicant Tracking System (StartDate)
• Reviews the processthrough a proactive accessibility, diversity, equity and inclusion lenses toensure a positive experience for all candidates regardless of outcome
• Conducts one week, onemonth, and three month check ins with new hires
• Ensures the completionof entry level surveys to ensure that the candidate's expectations of theorganization and process were met and areas for improvement identified andactioned
• Supports thedevelopment of a dashboard of appropriate recruitment metrics to assesscandidates needs and engagement
• Maintains and improvesthe onboarding process for all new hires
• Organizes and schedulesthe onboarding training sessions for all new hires in collaboration withpresenters
• Collaborates to createand deliver training to colleagues responsible for hiring focused on bestpractices
• Informs the annualbudgeting process in relation to expenses related to the recruitment cycle (jobpostings/participation in career fairs/advertising etc.)

Administration- 20%
• Works closely with thePeople and Culture and payroll team to capture all employment changes, andaction paperwork in a timely way and ensure accuracy
• Participates ininternal committees as appropriate
• Assumesother related responsibilities, as assigned.

EDUCATIONAND EXPERIENCE

Educationand Experience
• 3 years' experience inrecruitment
• Experienced user ofApplicant Tracking Systems
• A minimum of 2 years ofbroad experience in HR generalist capacities
• Non-profit and/orhealth care experience an asset

• Foundation backgroundin core HR functions with an understanding of the importance of a positiverecruitment and onboarding experience
• Working knowledge of Employment Standards Act of B.C., Human RightsCode, Worker Compensation Act, Occupational Health and other relevantemployment legislation.
• Personalvalues well-aligned with those of CPCH: demonstrated through work or communityinvolvement.

• Familiaritywith payroll, HRIS, Applicant Tracking Systems and other HR related systems.

• Flexibilityis necessary, as this position may require occasional weekend and evening workand travel within and outside the Lower Mainland.
