Job status: PermanentFull-time 1.0 FTE (75 hours bi-weekly)

Compensation: $53,678 - $59,885

JOB SUMMARY

The Development Coordinator, Cause Marketing & CorporatePartnerships is responsible for generating annual revenue through the development of cause-marketingprograms and new corporate and community based partnerships for Canuck PlaceChildren's Hospice (CPCH). Strong focus will be placed on initiatingcause-marketing alliances that produce revenue to support the overall missionof CPCH. The Development Coordinator, Cause Marketing & Corporate Partnerships will help develop the vision and strategy forexecuting a cause marketing fundraising program that positions CPCH as apreferred charity of choice for major corporations, businesses and communitypartners.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Responsiblefor the prospecting and cultivation of mid-size to large community andcorporate partners. Collaborates with external partners, consultants, vendorsand suppliers as required.
• Developsoverall pitch approaches, template materials and establishes consistent causemarketing program benefits, which can be leveraged across all new businessactivity.
• Supportsthe development and implementation of annual cause marketing program plans,budgets, and revenue projections. Assists in analyzing trends and best practices, identifyingopportunities and challenges, and developing plans to maximize the causemarketing program.
• Developsstrategies, prospecting plan, sales materials and lead pitch presentations tosecure additional partners in a customer-facing approach.
• Securessignificant cause marketing partnerships (e.g. point of sale, purchase oraction triggered donation, etc.), leveraging the power of the CPCH brand.
• Worksclosely with all members of the CPCH development team to ensure that causemarketing opportunities are explored, presented and secured with our currentpartners.
• Worksclosely with CPCH's marketing & communications team during the salesprocess and creative development to ensure messaging supports CPCH brandguidelines and key objectives.
• Contributesto prospect identification and tracking.
• Researchesand identifies sources of potential funding for new corporate and communitypartnerships.
• Coordinatesand implements donor cultivation, stewardship and recognition activities, inaddition to marketing deliverables agreed to with each corporate partner.
• Developsand fulfills speaking engagements, when required, for businesses, corporationsand community partners.
• Maintainsdonor recognition in collateral materials, such as the annual report, websiteand e-news.
• Providessupport on special projects and development team initiatives includingexploration of emerging giving platforms and channels (e.g. mobile and textgiving).
• Contributesto the CPCH culture by understanding and supporting our Mission and Vision andactively demonstrating our Values.
• Performsother related duties, as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
• Post-secondarydegree or diploma in a relevant discipline.
• Aminimum of 3 years related professional experience in fundraising, sales orother revenue generating activities, including the development of causemarketing plans, budgets and the execution of these.
• Anequivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Knowledgeof fundraising systems, structures and procedures.
• Provensuccess in cause marketing, annual campaigns or fundraising events.
• Salesskills with a passion for Lead Development.
• Excellentverbal and written English communication skills.
• Strongattention to detail.
• Demonstratedability to be a collaborative team player and establish and maintain positiveworking relationships, both internally and externally.
• Highdegree of initiative, resourcefulness and thoughtfulness in the decision makingprocess.
• Excellentorganizational and time management skills; must have the ability to meetassigned objectives by adapting and modifying the sequence of work, methods andstandards to meet changing conditions.
• Abilityto exercise a high level of tact and discretion in both internal and externalinteractions is critical.
• Proficiencyusing Microsoft Office Suite (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); Virtuous,Raiser's Edge, or other fundraising database experience is an asset.
• ValidBC driver's license and access to a vehicle is required.

• Evidence of Health Canada approved vaccinations must beprovided prior to your first day of work.
• Flexibility is necessary, as this position may requireoccasional weekend and evening work and travel within and outside the LowerMainland.
