We are seeking a Systems Administrator to join our IT team. This position will be full-time, hybrid, and is a contract position for 12 months.
Candidates will be asked to come into the office 2 Days / Week

Review security scan results and develop steps to mitigate vulnerabilities at the server and application levels

Ensures that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to agency policies, standards, and guidelines
Exercise systems administration, engineering and provisioning, operations and support, maintenance and research and development to ensure continual innovation
Perform daily system monitoring. Verifies the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems, and key processes
Review system and application logs, verifies completion of scheduled jobs such as backups
Perform regular security monitoring to identify any possible intrusions. Performs daily backup operations and regular file archival and purge as necessary
Create, changes, and deletes user accounts by request. Provides Tier III/other support per request from various constituencies
Investigate and troubleshoot issues
Diagnose and perform recovery from hardware or software failures
Coordinates and communicates with impacted constituencies
Applies OS patches and upgrades on a regular basis and upgrades administrative tools and utilities
Configures/adds new services as necessary
Maintains operational, configuration, or other procedures. Performs periodic performance reporting to support capacity planning
What You'll Need
Experience managing Windows and Linux systems
Responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of computer hardware and software and related infrastructure
Expertise in current cloud technologies such as Azure and OCI; ability to assist and lead teams in migrating existing environments to the cloud
Experience upgrading, installing and configuring application software and hardware
Experience troubleshooting and providing technical support server and networks
Problem-solving and communication skills
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Master's degree in computer science or a related field or equivalent experience
Physical Demands
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards
Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.
Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor
