What You'll Do
Manage and maintain Oracle databases within a Windows and hybrid cloud environment
Administer databases in hybrid environments, including Azure and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
Support the evaluation, integration, and administration of open-source databases such as PostgreSQL
Monitor database performance, implement changes, and apply new patches and version when required
Leverage Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform) for provisioning and automation
Develop and implement database policies and procedures to ensure the integrity and availability of databases and their accompanying software
Ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks such as HIPAA, and NIST
Implement and maintain robust database security practices, including access controls, encryption, and auditing
Maintain documentation of database configurations, procedures, and standards.
Collaborate with other IT professionals and stakeholders to ensure database systems are aligned with organizational goals
Research and recommend emerging database technologies to improve efficiency and reduce costs
Contribute to cross-functional initiatives and support evolving organizational needs as required
What You'll Need
Have a proven ability to manage complex database systems, ensure high availability, and support evolving organizational needs
Extensive experience with Oracle databases in a Windows and hybrid cloud environment
Expertise in Oracle RAC, Data Guard, and multi-tenant architectures
Proven ability to manage complex database systems and ensure high availability
Experience with open-source databases, such as PostgreSQL
Familiarity with backup and recovery tools, such as RMAN
Knowledge of scripting languages and automation frameworks
Hands-on experience with hybrid cloud platforms like Azure and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure
Effective communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Have exposure to open-source databases such as PostgreSQL, the Database Administrator will play a pivotal role in ensuring seamless integration and operational excellence across multiple platforms
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field
5+ years of experience in database administration
Desired
Certifications (e.g., OCP, PostgreSQL) are a plus
