Job Title: Sr Software Engineering Manager

Location: Cork

Reports to: VP Research & Development

Job Overview:

This Sr Software Engineering Manager position will manage a well-established R&D Team in Electronic Design Automation (EDA - Parasitic Extraction).

This role is part of our rapidly growing software development team based in the International Headquarters of our Cork office.

This hands-on local leadership and engineering management role is focused on delivering significant functional projects from concept through to final delivery, in a highly customer focused technical environment.

The successful applicant will be ambitious and be able to demonstrate core skill competency in all aspects of technical project and team management combined with an ability to directly liaise with other

technical teams in multiple geographies.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Managing and leading the engineering team in the design, development, coding, testing, and debugging and delivery of EDA applications.
  • Day-to-day management of engineering staff focused on prioritization, goal setting and project management to ensure timely project delivery.
  • Assessing, managing and communicating technological feasibility in conjunction with other global technical teams.
  • Conducting performance evaluations and career development discussions with all technical staff alongside identifying training and skill development opportunities for the team.

Job Qualifications:

  • Proven management experience in leading software development teams.
  • Minimum of 5 years of software development experience with BS/CS degree.
  • Demonstratable communication and collaboration skills in liaising with global and local development teams.
  • A technical background in computational software and distributed/multi-threaded technologies in enterprise level applications is a signification advantage, as is a background in C++.
  • Knowledge and experience of EDA is a plus.
