Job Title: Lead Software Engineer

Location: Cork

Reports to: Fellow

Job Overview:

Cadence is looking for an experienced Software Engineer to work on our brand-new electrostatic simulation software in the scope of Parasitic Capacitance and Resistance Analysis and Visualization.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Write new code and implement new features from scratch.
  • Design, develop, troubleshoot.
  • Work with other software engineers, as well as product engineers to ensure product robustness and quality.
  • Implement and extend User Interface.
  • Implement and organize live interaction between different software products.

Job Specifics:

  • Qt based UI application.
  • Fresh code, 90% of it less than 3 years old.
  • Dynamic development with many different types of tasks.

Job Requirements:

  • BSc/MSc/PhD in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Strong programming skills in modern C++.
  • Familiarity with Qt framework.
  • Familiarity with Object-Oriented Programming methods.

Additional Skills/Preferences:

  • Experience with Squish Framework is a big plus.
  • Familiarity with Unix-like operating systems is a big plus.
  • Experience with Python is a plus.
  • Experience with Perforce is a plus.
  • Prior knowledge about the EDA sector and the basics of chip design is a plus.
