Role Overview:

This will be a Corporate VP position, with the leader being responsible for steering the company through its next phase of growth. This role demands a dynamic leader with a robust background in both pharmaceutical / biotech and computational sciences, capable of balancing innovation with revenue growth and margin enhancement. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the drug design landscape, customers and industry ecosystem, and be adept at leveraging AI and computational technologies to accelerate the drug development process.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership:

  • Develop and execute the company's strategic vision, focusing on scaling operations, expanding market share, and driving innovation.
  • Formulate and implement strategies to grow revenue and improve profitability while maintaining high standards of scientific and technical excellence.

Innovation and Product Development:

  • Lead and inspire teams to push the boundaries of drug design through advanced computational methods, including AI and simulation.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, ensuring the company remains at the cutting edge of technological advancements and scientific breakthroughs.

Market Expansion and Customer Relations:

  • Expand our portfolio and business through strategic M&A. Drive long term success of the merged entity through the creation and execution of a thoughtful and structured integration plan.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including pharmaceutical and biotech companies.
  • Enhance the company's reputation and credibility within the industry through thought leadership and active engagement with clients and partners.

Operational Excellence:

  • Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring efficient resource management and alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Implement best practices and process improvements to drive operational efficiency and scalability.

Financial Excellence:

  • Develop and execute financial strategies to drive revenue growth and margin improvement, focusing on both short-term performance and long-term sustainability.

Team Leadership:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a diverse team of scientists and engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
  • Ensure the company attracts, retains, and motivates top talent in both scientific and computational fields.

Industry Trends and Competitive Analysis:

  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive dynamics.
  • Leverage insights to inform strategic decisions and position the company as a leader in the drug design software market.

Experience:

Demonstrated success in leading and scaling a business and in managing the P&L successfully driving substantial revenue and margin growth.

Proven experience in a senior leadership role in the pharmaceutical, biotech industry or in equivalent groups within a technology firm

Solid understanding of drug design processes and the application of computational methods, including AI and simulation, to enhance drug development.
