Cadence Design Systems Inc. is looking for a motivated Configuration Management Engineer IIto work with Development Tools and Methodology in Belo Horizonte, Brazil.
Development Tools and Methodology is responsible for software and web development. The R&D work at Cadence is very dynamic, fast-paced, and integrated with other teams all around the world.

Candidate will be working closely with cross-functional teams, providing support to R&D, Product Validation and release team on day to day operations and providing inputs about specific processes. Configuration Management Engineer II will also be managing daily CM build/test and release engineering tasks for development releases and customer hotfixes. Candidate is also expected to evaluate the regular processes and to automate them. Candidate must understands how and where to obtain and utilize resources effectively to resolve issues and problems independently.

Job Description:

  • Knowledge of the software development lifecycle including coding, code reviews, source code management, build processes, test, and operations.
  • Must have proficiency with Linux.
  • 1+ year experience with one or more version control systems Perforce/git/Mercurial at an admin level
  • Experience with UNIX development/compiler environments (gnu, make, dependency management)
  • 1+ year experience with Python, Perl and/or shell scripting
  • Knowledge of continuous Integration systems (Jenkins, etc)
  • Exposure to quality tools such as Coverity, Parasoft, Purify, gcov etc

Requirements:

  • Complete bachelor's in computer science or computer Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge in AWS cloud.
  • Exposure to containerization platform like Docker, Kubernetes is a plus.
  • Experience with collaborating and working effectively across organizations with Agile development
  • Ability to multi-task between complex projects and operational requests
  • Aptitude to learn new technologies rapidly
  • Good communication skills in English

Nice to have:

  • Basic knowledge of LSF farm
  • Ability to work/collaborate in a team and with people/teams
