As Account Technical Executive, you will utilize your technical knowledge, deep insight of the Customer, and broader Industry knowledge to maximize the value of Cadence solutions and their adoption. You will take responsibility of projects, develop the strategy and be accountable for execution, working with the wider Cadence team. You will need to rely on your relationship and superior communication skills to connect with business and technology customer stakeholders, identify critical pain points and gain buy-in to drive new business in a major customer.

In this role, you will focus on discovering and understanding the customer's needs and articulate the value proposition of our solutions, working with the extended team to bring the best solution to our customer, working with local and global teams, achieving growth.

In addition, you will be responsible for:

  • Maintaining solid customer relations from engineers' level to team managers, senior technical managers and above.
  • Developing and growing relationships with key players of the semiconductor industries and represent Cadence's wider market
  • Identify and qualify customer challenges and build tool / IP configurations
  • Grow knowledge of competitors and their technologies
  • Drive and manage pre-sale campaigns: Setting Success criteria for pre-sale campaign, closely work with the customer (engineers, group leaders, management), with Cadence R&D, and with our Application Engineers teams to build and execute the working plan and target for such campaign
  • Define platform strategy and create technical compelling events, including promotion of new Cadence products, solutions and technology.
  • Perform initial qualification of opportunities, involving Application Engineers and R&D as needed for supporting technical matters. Once the opportunities are qualified then define, manage and coordinate the technical sales engagement till successful closure.
  • Provide crisp sales priorities to the Cadence engineering teams
  • Maintain and develop customer relationships with key stakeholders, influencers and decision makers

Key Qualifications

  • 3-8 years related experience in technical account management or technical pre-sales
  • Must be comfortable in a technical setting and have an understanding of EDA tools, electronic systems, IC design and the semiconductor manufacturing eco-system
  • Must have ability to "call high" (Executive and Engineering Management) and help drive high value, complex sales campaigns
  • Deep understanding of electronics systems, semiconductor IPs and IC software design processes
  • Able to pitch and sell solutions, leveraging the entire Cadence portfolio (EDA SW, HW, IPs, services)
  • A proven track-record demonstrating ability to identify and understand customer pain-points and the ability to communicate this to a broad range of stakeholders.
  • Understand the practical challenges and ability to address the demands of a Tier 1 customer
  • Knowledge of the complete sales process, strong communication skills, and the ability to interact with engineering and financial staff at all levels.
  • A background successfully managing conflicting priorities and driving results
  • Able to work in an international, dynamic environment
  • Team player attitude
